The MPC2500 is the successor to the MPC200XL, featuring the formers classic user interface and building from there. It features velocity and pressure sensitive pads, twin onboard effects processors and an additional send for outboard effects, Q-Link controllers, plus 10 outputs and an S/PDIF digital output.
On the down side, the unit ships with a mere 16mb RAM and only holds a maximum of 128MB (at time of press). It is compatible with all previous MPC program and sample data, though will only read the sample data from Akai S5/6000 and Z4/8 samplers.
